The Project
The objective of the work was to provide a reinforced sprayed concrete liner wall of varying thicknesses (200 – 500mm) to the perimeter secant piles which provided the primary support.
The Solution
The walls were then cleaned by high pressure washing, structural reinforcement, and water bar at all horizontal joints. The finish of the shotcrete was ‘screeded’ to line and level.
This finish was the most cost effective as a cavity drainage membrane was then installed over the shotcrete.
The Outcome
635m3 C40 shotcrete applied.
Elimination of back propping and minimal spaced required for wall construction works.
Minimal hook time resulted in signifi cant programme saving for frame construction.
Temporary props were not required which allowed the erecting of the steel frame during the external wall construction.
