Sprayed Concrete
Shotcrete Services Ltd has vast experience in spraying concrete, built up over decades of working on some of the most iconic projects in the United Kingdom.
Sprayed concrete is an immensely versatile product and we lead the way in it’s use in industry. Typical applications are:
Lining walls
Commonly used to line piled wall retaining structures, sprayed concrete can be used as a structural lining with reinforcement to the required specification to any thickness or desired shape. It can be used simply as a levelling coat for the application of membranes or with additives to provide a fully warranted waterproof wall. It can also be advantageous when re- purposing existing structures and strengthening existing walls.
Soil stabilisation
Sprayed concrete can be used to stabilise excavation in the temporary or permanent design conditions. It is often used in an emergency where unforeseen events have occurred, such as flooding, requiring immediate ground support. We can provide a full design and installation service for soil nailing and sprayed concrete walls which can be a very efficient and cost effective solution for retaining walls
Freeform Structures
When presented with complex shaped structures that wouldn’t ordinarily lend themselves to be constructed conventionally with formwork and falsework, we excel at delivering demanding architectural aspirations. Our work on iconic structures such as the Darwin Cocoon in the Natural History Museum or the Selfridges building in Birmingham are testimony to our expertise.
Rail
Refurbishment and structural repair of rail assets, typically brick tunnels as this aging infrastructure deteriorates. Our case studies below are testament of the projects we have delivered in collaboration with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
