Shotcrete Services can offer a comprehensive package to suit all forms of slope stabilisation. These can vary from a simple reinforced overlay to prevent weathering and erosion of the slope surface, to complete structural anchored or soil nailed solutions. The combined use of soil nails/rock anchors with reinforced sprayed concrete can provide a cost effective, fast solution for retaining unstable excavated surfaces.
The use of steel fibres within the sprayed concrete mix can eliminate the need for fixing fabric meshes to the slope prior to the sprayed concrete application.
The shotcrete system enables large cuttings to be constructed by excavating/anchoring/shocreting in ‘benches’. The ‘bench’ height will be dependent on the stability of the substrate material.
The option to use either the wet or dry process provides versatility when undertaking out of hours working - either night shift or weekend working which is of particular benefit to the rail and road industries.
The surface of the completed sprayed concrete can be coloured to provide an aesthetic finish to blend with the surrounding area.
